A new evolution of the T206 concept.

This piece begins with a recreated vintage style T206 tobacco card, serving as the foundation of the design.

Embedded within the card is a one-of-one swatch of authentic game worn material, physically tying the piece back to the player and the moments they created on their respective playing field.

Built on top of the T206 are two additional layers that transform the experience of the card.

The first overlay is a custom city frame, designed around the skyline, architecture and atmosphere of the city the player called home during their career. Rather than simply placing the athlete onto a card, the piece roots them within the environment and culture that helped define their legacy.

Floating above that is a translucent acetate layer featuring a vintage map of the city itself. Depending on the angle and lighting, the map shifts across the artwork, creating depth, texture and movement that changes as you hold the card in your hand. Streets, landmarks and geography drift over the image like a memory.

The result is a layered mixed-media card that feels architectural in its construction. A blend of sports history, city identity and physical memorabilia. A card of the place, the era and the history surrounding them.
